    Only commitments.

Seen this billboard advertisement around of late?

Dang, but I love great advertising. And the Marines got it going on. So do all the US Armed Forces, for that matter. Some of the absolutely best branding, marketing and communications ever.

And, while some people's lips curl with loathing toward the military, I think the US Armed Forces should have top-notch branding and advertising. Why? Well, they're reaching a very specific customer. And, they're selling something that can't be returned at the customer service center 30 days later. When someone "buys" their product (and enlists), it's a serious transaction.

If you want to see some of the best web advertising EVER, check out the Marines' website.
And while I didn't yet find an online image of the billboard that had me all atwitter, here is a posted version of a recent commercial with the same message.
